If the government had acted with even minimal competence, much wealth destruction could have been avoided. Unfortunately, the politcal thinking at the time was that since capitalism works so much better than communism then the economy would work even better if there was no regulation or enforcement at all!
These are one of the best tried and tested mortgage marketing strategies that have been successfully used for years. Mortgage companies rely on posters, flyers, newspaper ads, billboards to create awareness about their activities amongst general public. This not only creates awareness, but also generates curiosity amongst people and there is flurry of prospective buyers.
